Ebay
Ebay is jumping into the Black Friday frenzy with a few good deals for gamers.
The online auction house and retailer will begin their “doorbuster” sales starting on Wednesday evening at 9PM PST (Midnight EST) and will be holding three seperate days of sale events, Thursday and Monday.
First up on Wednesday night is a discount on an non-bundled PlayStation 4 for $329.99.
Thanksgiving evening will kick off with a good deal on a 12 month Xbox Live Subscription Card which will go for $35.99! Microsoft will also have their $329.99 deal available for the Xbox One Assassins Creed bundle.
Ebay will be one of the only places featuring a discount on the Wii U this year. The Super Mario 3D World bundle, which also includes Nintendoland will be on sale for $259.99.
Cyber Monday sales will begin on Sunday evening at 9PM PST and will feature a $249.99 Wii U Skylanders bundle + Super Smash Bros for Wii U! It will be a tough choice for potential Wii U buyers whether to go for the Super Mario 3D World bundle or this one.
The way Ebay has their events structured seems a little confusing, so make sure to check out the ad scans below.
GameStop
GameStop appears to be the only retailer on this list that will not open on Thanksgiving itself. Instead they will bust their doors wide starting at Midnight on Black Friday in most locations, and the remaining stores opening at 5AM.
Tons of games will be on sale for the big day.
The Evil Within and the next-gen Sleeping Dogs will sell for $29.99.
Murdered: Soul Suspect will be available for $24.99.
If you want Destiny then you can grab it for $49.99.
Some of EA Sports latest games are on sale for $39.99 including; Madden 15, FIFA 15 and the recently released NHL 15. And that is for next-gen systems, so not a bad deal there! Last-gen versions of those same titles will be offered for $29.99.
Last-gen Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition and Titanfall are on sale for $19.99. WWE 2K15 and NBA 2K15 (last-gen) will be on sale for $29.99.
Assassins Creed: Rogue will sell for $44.99.
Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Mordor for PS4 will be on sale for $29.99.
As for Hardware bundles, GameStop will be offering the now standard Xbox One Assassins Creed bundle for $329.99 and the PS4 GTA V+ Last of Us combo for $399.99.
There are a lot of other deals available as well, so make sure you check out the scans that I’m including below.
Toys R Us
Toys R Us will begin their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving evening at 5PM till 9PM and will reopen on Friday at 7AM.
They don’t seem to have any big specific titles discounted, however they are running a Buy 1 Get 1 40% off deal on pretty much any current title available.
They also have a Buy 1 Get 1 for $2 on pretty much all of their last-gen games.
The biggest deal from Toys R Us this year is on the Wii U Skylanders Bundle, which will be on sale for only $199.99, a whopping $100 off! It’s a good deal on a Wii U even if Skylanders isn’t your cup of tea.
You can also pick up the PS4 Grand + Last of Us bundle for $399 or there is a bundle containing Lego Batman 3 and Little Big Planet 3 for $399.99.
Finally, Toys R Us will have discounts on Xbox One systems. You can grab the console packed with a Kinect for $429.99 or you can go for the Assassins Creed bundle, which will run you $329.99. No other incentives like gift cards were included in the deals.
Walmart
The 500 pound gorilla of the retail world has a three-stage event structure planned for Black Friday. Event 1 starts on Thanksgiving at 6PM. Event 2 will take place two hours later at 8PM. The third and final set of sales will start on Black Friday at 6AM.
-UPDATE 11/13/2014- According to bfads.net Walmart says that they will match Amazon.com prices.
Wally World has an Xbox One bundle on sale as part of the Event 1 sale with Halo: Master Chief Collection and a $30 gift card for $329.99. Walmart guarantees that the bundle will remain in stock for up to one hour after the sale starts.
You can also get the Xbox One Assassins Creed Bundle, with Assassins Creed: Black Flag and Assassins Creed: Unity for $329.99, however they don’t give you the $30 gift card.
PlayStation 4’s have not been forgotten. You can get a PS4 packaged with Last of Us Remastered and Grand Theft Auto V for $399.99. Walmart will also throw in a $50 gift card with purchase. You can find the same bundle online at walmart.com for $ 449.99. There is no free gift card, however they allow you to choose to extra games for free.
If you need a Nintendo 3DS XL then you can grab one bundled with New Super Mario 2 for $149.96.
Controllers for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are on sale for $39.99.
Next-gen versions of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare are discounted to $49.96 and last-gen versions can be nabbed for $39.96.
What will $35 buy you at Walmart this year? Let’s try Destiny, Mario Kart 8, Sims 4, FIFA 15, Madden 15, Diablo 3, The Evil Within, NBA 2K15, and more.
Mario Kart 7, Assassins Creed: Rogue, Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Mordor, plus a good deal more are on sale for $25.
Finally, lots of last-gen titles will be available in the $15 to $20 range including; The Last of Us, Diablo 3, The Lego Movie, Mortal Kombat, and Boarderlands 2.
Best Buy
Best Buy is starting their Black Friday sales on Thanksgiving at 5PM. Let that soak in for a second. 5PM Thanksgiving day. They will remain open till 1AM until starting the madness all over again on Friday at 8AM. Luckily, you won’t have to leave your turkey induced comatose state to snag some good deals because you will be able to shop online at bestbuy.com all day Thursday and Friday.
Best Buy will be offering up some pretty good deals for Black Friday.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, MLB The Show 14, The Walking Dead, KillZone: Shadow Fall, Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, and Infamous: Second Son are all on sale for $19.99
For $29.99 You could get Madden 15, FIFA 15, NBA 2K 15, Diablo 3, Watch_Dogs, Boarderlands the Pre-Sequel, Sleeping Dogs (PS4), Sims 4, WWE 2K 15 (PS3) and Alien Isolation among a few others.
$24.99 is all it takes to grab The Evil Within, Lord of the Rings: Shadow of Mordor, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Wolfenstein, and more.
The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is on sale for $44.99.
The PlayStation 3 version of Destiny will be on sale for $44.99.
A few games will be available for $14.99, the most notable being the Elder Scrolls Anthology for PC. This set includes; Elder Scrolls Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivian, and Skyrim: Legendary Edition. It’s an awesome deal if you have ever been curious about playing this fantastic series!
The Xbox One console with Assassins Creed: Unity and Black Flag, with Kinect and a free controller are on sale for $429.99. Or you can get the same bundle, minus the Kinect and the extra controller for $329.99.
PlayStation 4 bundles with Last of Us: Game of the Year Edition and Grand Theft Auto V will be available for $399.99.
Wii U was not forgotten. Best Buy has a great deal with a $359.97 bundle that includes Nintendoland and Super Mario 3D World. But that’s not all. They also throw in Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Super Smash Bros for Wii U!
Best Buy will also be running a special Buy 2 Get 1 Free promotion for all used games.
And if you are looking for extra controllers for PS4 or Xbox One, those will be on sale for $39.99.
Target
Target will be opening their doors at 6pm on Thanksgiving day and will have some good gift card related incentives for gamers.
First up is a great Xbox One Console sale. Target will offer up an extra $20 off the already discounted Microsoft price. $329.99 is a pretty sweet deal for the Xbox One (Assassins Creed Bundle) already, however they are also giving shoppers a $50 gift card with purchase. That means there is the potential of snagging the next-gen console for $279.99. Keep in mind though that normally, Target does not allow you to use the gift card on the same transaction. That won’t stop you from requesting that they ring through a game on a separate transaction though, so it’s still a good deal.
As far as games go, Target has interesting discounts for the big day.
You can get 50% off “hundreds of titles” including Madden 15 (last-gen), Mario Kart 7, Infamous: Second Son, and Titanfall.
For $15 you can get last-gen versions of Assassins Creed: Black Flag and Call of Duty: Ghosts. And surprisingly, Super Mario 3D Land for the Nintendo 3DS is included along other titles not shown in the ad.
A robust selection of more recent releases will be on sale for $25.
Lord of the Rings: Shadows of Mordor, Watch_Dogs (Last-gen versions), The Evil Within, Forza 5, Dead Rising 3 and Call of Duty: Ghosts (Next-gen versions) plus the elusive “and more” round out the list.
$35 will yield you Madden 15 (Next Gen versions), Diablo 3, Sims 4, Watch_Dogs (Next-gen versions), Assassins Creed: Rouge, FIFA 15, and of course more.
Finally, there will be a number of games that will not be on sale, however Target will give you a $15 gift card with purchase.
Those games are; Halo: Master Chief Collection, Mario Kart 8, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Destiny, WWE 2K15, Far Cry 4, and Super Smash Bros for Wii U.
Kmart
Kmart is opening at the nearly ungodly time of 6am to 5pm on Thanksgiving day and then will reopen the same day at 7pm to 3am. They will have some decent, but not overly spectacular deals for games.
Kinect Sports Rivals, Forza 5, Ryse, and Dead Rising 3 for Xbox One, will be on sale for $29.99 each. Members of Kmart’s shopping club get $10 back in member points with any of these games.
Kmart also promises “up to $30″ off Destiny, Wolfenstein, The Evil Within, and Call of Duty: Ghosts. The sales run across all platforms but the key words are “up to.” So it would not appear that you will be picking up Destiny for $29.99. Kmart will also have last-gen controllers for PS3 and Xbox 360 on sale.
Kohl’s
Believe it or not, Kohls does sell a few video games. This year, the retailer opens its doors at 6pm on Thanksgiving and will offer 30% off a selection of their mostly kid-friendly games. The bigger deals come in the form of discounts on consoles, which Kohls normally doesn’t sell in store.
The Nintendo 3DS XL with Mario Party Island Tour will retail for $149.99.
The Xbox One will be on sale for $329.99.
Both console deals are on sale until 1pm that Friday.
