Thought it was over? Think again!
Earlier today, developer Scott Cawthorn announced Five Nights at Freddy’s 4: The Final Chapter, set for a release date of this Halloween, October 31st. The series has been a runaway indie success, with the current 3 games all within the top 20 spots of iTune’s paid apps. A clever nod to the Friday the 13th film series (the 4th film in the series was subtitled “The Final Chapter”), this fourth installment is touted as the final installment, though as with all things in the sphere of horror, we know that “the end” is always to be taken with a grain of salt.
Nerd Bacon recently reported on Warner Bros. intention of turning the series into a film, of which Cawthorn states will “[tap] into a largely unexplored niche of horror that a lot of people will be able to relate to.”

Seeing their jumps and squeals even after dozens of playthroughs is a testament to the series’ success and popularity!
