During the month of May, Nerd Bacon will be participating in the charity fundraising event known as PlayLive!
PlayLive is an event that benefits St. Jude Children’s Hospital, which is well known as a place where kids with serious illnesses, such as cancer, can be treated at no cost to the families.
At Nerd Bacon, a significant part of our lives has been developed from video games, mostly from a young age.
We love playing and writing about games and, as a team, thought that PlayLive would be a great opportunity to give back and support an amazing cause. We can help the kids while doing what we love!
We’ll be keeping to our usual Wed & Thurs night Twitch streams for sure and will be adding in some additional streams to maximize donation potential. 100%/of donations go directly to St Jude.
Team Nerd Bacon has a donation goal of $1000 and we’ll need help to get there!

My personal favorite games are those in the Survival Horror and Sports (baseball) genres, but I can find at least a game or 2 in just about any category that I love to play.
I grew up on Nintendo consoles (NES and SNES) and have been an Xbox guy since the first one was released in the early 2000s. It’s hard to stay away from the classics as the 16-bit era is probably still my favorite overall.
