The most iconic fighting game character ever created will finally square off against the character that defines the term videogame itself.
Ryu, the face of Street Fighter, the series that gave birth to the modern day tournament fighting genre, will join the cast of Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS, according to hackers who uncovered files and a video showcasing the famous World Warrior.

The files were unearthed after a patch for Super Smash Bros went live in Japan last night and they confirm the rumors on which we reported a few months ago that stated Ryu would be joining the fight.
There has been no official confirmation from Nintendo as of yet, however that is expected to come tomorrow (Sunday, June 14th) when Nintendo broadcasts a pre-E3 Nintendo Direct, which will focus exclusively on new Super Smash Bros DLC.

We will find out for sure if this is actually true, or if it is all an elaborate hoax, as well as all the info on the date and pricing of the DLC that is officially revealed for Super Smash Bros after tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct, Which is scheduled to air at 10:40AM EDT.
