RPG fans who own a Wii U have a new item to add to their Christmas list this year, with the announcement of a release date for Xenoblade Chronicles X during today’s E3 2015 Nintendo Direct.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is the sequel to the cult-classic Wii title, Xenoblade Chronicles, which saw a limited release exclusively at GameStop retailers in the U.S. in 2012. The Xenoblade series features a unique battle system that combines combat elements of MMO games with classic JRPG design characteristics to create a fast, fluid, and engaging role-playing experience. Players can also take control of giant mechanized robots in order to fight their way across a massive open-world environment.
Xenoblade Chronicles X takes place after the events of its predecessor and follows a group of humans fighting for survival on a distant planet after the destruction of the Earth.
An online element will allow Xenoblade Chronicles X players to form squads an battle ultra powerful bosses, as well as trade info on what items and enemies they have come across during their play.
Xenoblade Chronicles X is on schedule for a December 4th, 2015 release date, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U.
