Game fans lucky enough to be able to secure the already sold out Nintendo Switch close to launch will be getting an extra bonus for their early adoption.
Nintendo announced early Sunday that they will be hosting an early demo for the upcoming Splatoon 2, as a way to test the stability of their servers for the game.
The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event will take place across six different one hour intervals, through the weekend of March 24th – 26th.
- March 24th kicks off the Splatoon 2 fun, starting at 3PM EST – 3:59 EST and again at 11PM EST – 11:59PM EST.
- March 25th the test will start bright and early at 7AM EST – 7:59AM EST, then again at 3:PM – 3:59PM EST, and a final run at 11PM EST – 11:59PM EST.
- March 26th will see one last Splatoon 2 test at 7AM EST – 7:59AM EST.
The Splatoon 2 Global Testfire event follows the blueprint laid out prior to the launch of the original Splatoon,
where specific open tests were held at specific times as a way to test server strength, and whet appetites before the game was launched.
Best part is that anyone with a Nintendo Switch will be able to participate in the Splatoon 2 demo/test absolutely free!

Nintendo has not announced a specific release date yet for Splatoon 2, instead promising that it will be hitting the Nintendo Switch in the Summer of 2017.
