Some of you might remember that last year Assassin’s Creed Unity got a sick looking animated trailer that was directed by non other than Rob Zombie. Zombie paired up with Tony Moore, best known for his work on The Walking Dead comics, and gave the French Revolution a dark and gory spin.
This year, Ubisoft decided that Assassin’s Creed Syndicate should get an animated short of its own to launch players further into the setting before the game’s release. Ubisoft teamed up F. Gary Grey (Straight Outta Compton) and Pop Mhan (penciller for various comics including Batgirl, Gears of War 3, and He-Man) to create this stunning short.
In this animated short Evie and Jacob Frye (the two main characters in Assassin’s Creed Syndicate) get the comic book treatment. The short sets the scene for the Victorian London setting, but also the mood in which Jacob and Evie work to better the lives of the common man. In all, this animated short is a great introduction to what you can expect of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, come October.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will be released on October 23, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be released on PC later at a undetermined date.
