As a way of apologizing to consumers for the technical issues that have surrounded the launch of Assassins Creed: Unity, Ubisoft announced today that they would be providing the upcoming Dead Kings DLC for free.
“Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team. These problems took away from your enjoyment of the game, and kept many of you from experiencing the game at its fullest potential.” Said Ubisoft Montreal & Toronto CEO Yannis Mallat via the official Assassins Creed blog.
“To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed: Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone.”
Mallat also confirmed that anyone who had previously purchased a Season Pass for upcoming Assassins Creed: Unity DLC would receive the Dead Kings DLC plus a free game of their choice.
Season Pass holders will be able to select from;
- The Crew
- Far Cry 4
- Watch Dogs
- Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
- Rayman Legends
- Just Dance 2015
The Season Pass will no longer be sold and has been removed from various retail websites.
Ubisoft has provided a FAQ page to help answer any questions surrounding the free DLC offer.
