Batman: Arkham Knight is delayed . . . again.
The much awaited game was originally set to release sometime last year but was pushed back to June 2, and is now slotted to release on June 23, 2015. Game director Sefton Hill defends the delay by saying “We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy.”
Batman: Arkham Knight will be the first Batman game to hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. Developer Rocksteady Studios boasts enhanced features of Batman: Arkham Knight that include enhanced graphics over past Batman games, a much bigger map (supposedly five times larger than Arkham City), and a Batmobile that you can summon whenever you wish.
As a consolation to the fans for the delay Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios released nearly eight minutes of official gameplay captured by a PlayStation 4. The video (shown below) showcases a lot of what Batman: Arkham Knight has to offer including combat and the Batmobile (the Batmobile!).
So without further ado, here’s something to drool over while we wait:
