Battlefield Hardline Delayed till 2015

Visceral Games has announced that the next game in the Battlefield series; Battlefield Hardline has been delayed until “early 2015,” according to an explanation on the Battlefield Blog.

Karl Magnus Troedsson, the Vice President of DICE games cited their desire to incorporate ideas generated by player feedback from the recent Battlefield Hardline beta as the reasoning behind the setback.

The three points that Troedsson outlined were;

  • Incorporating player feedback into a more innovative multi-player experience.
  • Ensuring a greater depth to the single player story missions.
  • And stability.

Visceral Games Creative Director for Battlefield Hardline Ian Milham tweeted his positive reaction to the decision by stating “I am really happy EA is giving us the time to make this as great as it can be.”

Battlefield Hardline takes the series away from its traditional military campaign setting and places you on the city streets in the shoes of either a police officer or a criminal.

No solid date has been provided beyond “early 2015.”

Battlefield Hardline will be available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
