Genre – Compilations
Compilations aren’t exactly a genre, but more of a category relating to how the game(s) are distributed. The compilations genre is any single disc, cartridge, file, etc. that is comprised of multiple games from one or more video game franchises. The compilations are not always games by the same developers, but oftentimes share a common theme, such as “Sonic Gems” or “Midway Games Classics Volume 1.” A compilation game must have at least 2 different games to be considered a “compilation”.
