One of the best strategy RPG’s to have graced the PlayStation 2 is about to be resurrected.
NIS America has announced that the original Disgaea will be making its return, this time on PC.
Disgaea PC is aiming to be the definitive version of the SRPG classic, with all of the original content of the PlayStation 2 original, as well as the Etna mode that was included with the Sony PSP port.
NIS is also adding PC exclusive features for Disgaea PC, including Steam achievements, badges, and trading cards, along with mouse and keyboard support. Disgaea PC has also updated the user interface as well as a number of the textures from the PlayStation 2 version.
Disgaea PC’s plot involves a battle to reclaim the throne of the Netherworld, by a young demon prince named Laharl, which was left vacant following the death of his father, Krichevskoy.
Disgaea made its series debut in 2003 on the PlayStation 2 and has spawned four sequels, the most recent of which was Disgaea 5, released on PlayStation 4 last month.
Disgaea PC will strategize a release through Steam in “early 2016.”
