Doom and Wolfenstein II Are Coming to the Nintendo Switch

Well this is certainly unexpected.

Nintendo announced that not one, but two big, gory, first person shooters from Bethesda will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch during Wednesday’s Nintendo Direct presentation.

First on the docket is the Switch version of last year’s surprise mega-hit: Doom.

For those that missed out, Doom was a fantastic reboot of the shooting classic that hit pretty much all the right notes in striking a balance of classic run-n-gun gameplay, with today’s modern sensibilities.

Doom will be blasting its way onto the Nintendo Switch by Christmas 2017.

Even more surprising though was the revelation that Bethesda’s next big game: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus will be arriving on the Switch, early 2018.

First revealed at E3 2017, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is set in a historically alternate version of the U.S.A, where the Nazi’s won World War II.

You play the part of a resistance fighter trying to recruit others to the cause and fly the good ol’ red, white, and blue once again.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is of course, headed to all other systems this holiday, so Switch-only owners have to wait a little bit before they can join the fight.

Are you excited to get a chance at some good ol’ fashioned shooting action on the Nintendo Switch. Blast your thoughts onto the comments section below.
