A new Elder Scrolls game has been announced at Bethesda’s E3 2015 press conference – sort of. Bethesda’s E3 event was full of amazing games that are about to be released in the near future. Games ranging from Doom to Fallout 4 were featured heavily. The Elder Scrolls Online even got some air time, but a kind of new Elder Scrolls game is about to roll onto the scene: The Elder Scrolls: Legends.
Like I mentioned earlier, this isn’t going to be a brand new Elder Scrolls game but rather a new type of game for the franchise. Capitalizing on the popularity of Hearthstone, Bethesda is releasing The Elder Scrolls: Legends as a free to play card strategy game.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends will be based upon the intensely extensive lore of the franchise. While no actual gameplay was shown, the trailer promoting the game showed a number of beautiful artistic depictions of the different races found in the Elder Scrolls world.
The Elder Scrolls: Legends is set to release for free on PC and iPad sometime later this fall.
