EVO 2018 Dates Announced

It feels like it’s a bit early to start making plans for EVO 2018 already.

Maybe it’s because EVO 2017 wrapped up only three short months ago.

Maybe it’s because the recent tragedy events in Las Vegas at the beginning of October brought a sense of gravity and reflection to our minds.

Nonetheless, time marches on, and our spirits must forever hurtle towards the future.

Okay, so that was all a very needlessly fancy way of saying that the dates for the world’s largest fighting game tournament have officially been set.

EVO 2018 will take place August 3-5, 2018, and will once again be held at the Mandalay Bay convention center and arena.

The early August date marks a bit of a departure from the traditional mid-July time-frame that the tournament has occupied over the past few years.

For those that are worried that August is too long of a wait for all that fighting game goodness, fear not – EVO Japan will take place January 26-28 of 2018.

The folks over at the official EVO forum, Shoryuken.com released a snazzy hype trailer to get us all prepped for the glory that is sure to come at EVO 2018.

NerdBacon has had a presence at the past two EVO tournaments, and we will look to expand our coverage even further in 2018.
