It would seem that 2015 is the year of gigantic games. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Bloodborne were both long games that came out this year, but it would seem that a new contender is stepping into the ring: Fallout 4. Fallout 3 was no pint sized game by any means. One could easily spend over a hundred hours on Fallout 3. But what’s a sequel without progress?
Word on the street is that Fallout 4 will be over 400 hours long. Bethesda’s lead producer Jeff Gardiner spoke to OXM about the upcoming game’s length saying “I’ve played the game for probably 400 hours, and I’m still finding stuff that I haven’t seen.”
If this statement is indeed true, Fallout 4 will be so long that its practically endless. It’s more than likely that the good chunk of the 400+ hours is due to the game’s revamped crafting system that makes everything customizable. This new crafting system will encourage players to wander the world longer to gather the materials to make the coolest looking swag.
Fallout 4 will be released for your gaming pleasure on November 10, 2015. The game will be available on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on that day.
