Gears of War Ultimate Edition is Coming to PC!

In a victory for PC gamers everywhere, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson has announced at the E3 2015 PC Gaming Show that Gears of War Ultimate Edition is coming to PC! Before you get too excited, Gears of War Ultimate Edition is only a remake of the original Gears of War, not the entire series. Gears of War Ultimate Edition will support 4K resolution, and DirectX 12. The remake will also feature visual improvements and no framerate locking.

When asked about the rest of the series and Gears of War 4 coming to PC, Fergusson responded “Nothing to announce. Maybe we can talk about it at a later time.” While this isn’t an announcement, it’s also not a “never going to happen,” so I can say that I am hopeful that the rest of the series will come to PC. Gears of War was my favorite series before I sold my Xbox 360, and it is the only game that makes me regret selling said Xbox 360.
