Info Leaked on New Assassins Creed Game

The shrink wrap has barely come off of Assassin’s Creed: Unity and we already have info leaking on the next game in the Assassins Creed franchise.

Kotaku has posted new screenshots and is reporting having seen development footage of 2015’s Assassins Creed installment, which they are reporting is codenamed Victory.

According to the report, the new title is set in 19th century London and will be overseen by Ubisoft’s Quebec studio. This would be a departure for the series as it has mainly been handled out of Ubisoft’s Montreal studio.

Kotaku also said that the leaked footage is a target of what the team hopes to achieve graphically in Assassins Creed: Victory, however a message at the beginning of the video notes that the footage was entirely produced using Anvil, the engine that powers Assassins Creed titles.

Kotaku’s source also said that Assassins Creed: Victory would be available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and that Victory would be the only Assassins Creed title developed for 2015.

IGN received a response from Ubisoft in regards to today’s leak:

“It is always unfortunate when internal assets, not intended for public consumption, are leaked. And, while we certainly welcome anticipation for all of our upcoming titles, we’re disappointed for our fans, and our development team, that this conceptual asset is now public. The team in our Quebec studio has been hard at work on the particular game in question for the past few years, and we’re excited to officially unveil what the studio has been working on at a later date. In the meantime, our number one priority is enhancing the experience of Assassin’s Creed Unity for players.”

No concrete details have been revealed regarding the story line or character as of yet.
