Kingdom Hearts III Finally Gets a Release Date – E3 2018

After five long, painful years of waiting, we have to wait just a little bit longer.

Kingdom Hearts III will miss it’s projected 2018 date, and be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 29th, 2019.

The announcement came late Saturday night/early Sunday morning (depending on where you live) during the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra – World Tour, which was held in Los Angeles ahead of E3 2018.

Kingdom Hearts III’s director, Tetsuya Nomura, asked fans for a little more time and patience in a special message that accompanied the release date announcement on Twitter.

We’ve announced the release day for KINGDOM HEARTS III ahead of E3 at the KINGDOM HEARTS Orchestra -World Tour-. I’m sorry that we’re asking for a little more time than initially planned. Please look forward to other information, including a few trailers at E3. Thank you

Square Enix originally revealed that development was underway for Kingdom Hearts III during Sony’s press event at E3 2015.

Are you willing to give Square Enix a little more time to polish Kingdom Hearts III? Or has the half-decade long wait rendered you heartless?
