After a long week of endless rumors and speculation, Capcom finally lifted the lid on a game we thought would be impossible.
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, the latest edition in the extremely popular Marvel vs. Capcom series has been announced at Saturday’s PlayStation Experience 2016 keynote address.
Full details are still unknown at this time, however, we do know that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will be hitting the PlayStation 4 Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2017.
After learning from the near-infinite criticism leveled at Street Fighter V, Capcom also says that Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite will feature a full arcade mode, as well as cinematic story mode, missions, and more.
We can also glean from the trailer that rumors about a focus on characters introduced within the current Marvel Cinematic Universe are most likely true: as there were no signs of classic X-Men characters like Wolverine or Magneto. The trailer also highlighted 2-on-2 combat, which had also been rumored to be taking place in the new MvC title.

Capcom will be revealing the first footage of actual gameplay from Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite during Saturday’s Capcom Cup championship finals.
