Oh how sneaky can you be Nintendo. During the Nintendo World Championships which were held this past Sunday, Nintendo had competitors square-off in what they claimed was a brand-new futuristic sports game called Blast Ball. The game could best be described as a futuristic version of soccer, however we noticed that it bore a strong resemblance to Nintendo’s space-faring franchise, Metroid.
Well it turns out that Blast Ball is not a game by itself, but a mode in a brand new game announced today during today’s E3 2015 Nintendo Direct. Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a four-player co-operative experience for the Nintendo 3DS set in the Metroid Prime universe.
Players will have to work together to take down the various monsters that will confront them during the game. Nintendo has not released any details on the story or setting behind Metroid Prime: Federation Force, nor have they revealed if there are any single-player modes available, or if players will be matched up with team members online.
Metroid Prime: Federation Force is scheduled to release on the Nintendo 3DS sometime in 2016.
