EA Is Ready For Hockey – First NHL 17 Trailer Released

The Stanley Cup Playoffs are behind us, it’s the middle of June, and an intense heat-wave is currently engulfing much of the continental United States; that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be talking about Hockey.

EA thinks it’s a fine time to stoke our fantasies with thoughts of lacing up our skates and hitting the ice.

That’s why they dropped a brand new gameplay trailer for their upcoming hockey opus, NHL 17.

EA is set to deliver a power play in the form of all new game modes for NHL 17.

Players will be able to compete for national honor in the World Cup of Hockey, a new franchise mode, and the new Draft Champions mode.

EA is also making a number of adjustments to NHL 17’s solid engine. Refinements will include better zone control, new player celebrations, and better A.I. for goalies.

NHL 17 will also be getting a public beta from July 28th, through August 4th. Anyone interested in signing up can register here.

You’ll be able to live all of your virtual hockey dreams when NHL 17 launches on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, September 13th.

Are you looking forward to being a hockey hero in NHL 17, or are you nothin’ but a hoser? Talk some trash in the comments section below.
