Sony To Release PS4 System Software 2.0 Update on October 28th

Sony announced that the system software update 2.0 for the PlayStation 4 will be available for download starting October 28th. The Sony delivered the news via their official Twitter page this afternoon.

The PS4’s system software 2.0 update which was referred to as “Masamune” will bring a number of long awaited features such as the ability to upload video directly to Youtube, as well as the intriguing Share Play feature, which allows a friend to join in on certain games that you are playing even if your friend does not actually own the game.

Other features that will be included in the PS4 system software 2.0 update will be:

  • A USB music player.
  • New background colors and themes for your home screen.
  • Add to Library feature (Add a game to your library without having to download it to the hard drive).
