Secret of Mana Returns!: Square Enix to Release Revamped Version of Classic

Square Enix has announced that a remade version of the SNES classic, Secret of Mana, will be released on February 15th, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita.

The updated Secret of Mana will feature a new graphical style, as well as an enhanced musical score and “updated” gameplay elements.

While Square Enix was mum on what those new gameplay elements might be, it wouldn’t be a stretch to believe that online play could be part of the equation, given the huge role that 3-player co-op play had on the 1993 release.

Rumors of the Secret of Mana remake broke late Thursday evening after a listing for the title mysteriously appeared on the PlayStation Latin America store.

Square Enix wasted no time in confirming the existence of the remake Friday morning, even releasing a trailer which you can view below.
