We’ve waited one full year since Insomniac first revealed that they were working on a new digital interpretation of the Spider-Man saga to see the game in action, and Monday night we finally got our wish.
Spider-Man provided a thrilling ending to Sony’s E3 2017 conference Monday evening, providing viewers with a lengthy gameplay demonstration that looked impossibly good.
Unfortunately, while we finally got our eyes on Spider-Man this year, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to get our hands on the friendly neighborhood super hero. The demonstration ended with a nebulous 2018 release date.
For now, take a look at the game in action from Sony’s E3 2017 presentation. Perhaps sing a little song while you wait.

“Spider-Man, Spider-Man, makes gamers wait – as long as he can. Our hopes were high, don’t you know – but it’ll take more time, for you to show. Spider-Man…I want to play you now!”
Are you surprised at all that Spider-Man won’t be out this year? Do you think I should keep writing more songs? Let us know in the comments section below.
