Unravel Two Announced and Released! – E3 2018

Thanks to EA Originals, many indie developers have seen their dreams become true on a grand stage. The original Unravel was a big benefactor of this program, garnering tons of attention and well-deserved praise. Today, during EA Play at E3, the sequel, Unravel Two, was announced with a video that (pun intended) tugged on the heart strings. Yarny is lost at sea and somehow has his string, his literal “life-line” severed. It’s a dark moment for one of gaming’s most adorable characters.

Enter the core game mechanic for the sequel, a second Yarny! A blue Yarny hopped out of a chest, introducing the theme of the game as well as the main hook. You can play Unravel Two alone controlling both characters, but the main focus of the game is co-op and looks to be even more of an emotional and beautiful ride through challenging platforming and amazing visual/audio experiences.

Oh, and it’s available NOW!

That’s right! The game is done and available to play as you are reading this article. $19.99 on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. If you have EA Access you can also play a free trial.

I loved the first game and can’t wait to get my hands on the next adventure of Yarny!
