Unravel Untangles A Release Date

Publisher EA has announced that their eye-catching platform title, Unravel will be released on February 9th, 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC. The release date revelation came amidst a new trailer for the game, revealing more of the story behind Unravel.

For those unfamiliar, is a platform adventure game which stars a little yarn-man named Yarny. The game follows his journey to collect the scattered memories of an aging woman, and proved to be  one of the most pleasant surprises that came out of E3 2015.

Martin Sahlin, the Creative Director of Coldwood Studios, endeared himself to the hundreds of reporters in attendance at EA’s E3 press event, as well as the millions watching the live stream through the internet, with his obviously nerve-laden but impassioned presentation of his project. The yarn from which the lead character of Unravel was created, is symbolic of the bonds of love between people, and the thread that runs though each of our lives and connects us to each other. Yarny can use yarn to tackle the physics-based obstacle’s that he will encounter during the course of his heart-warming adventure. However, Yarny is able to run out of yarn, so one of the challenges presented in Unravel will be making sure you are using your woolly resource wisely.

Be sure to check out this brief gameplay demo below for a taste of what Unravel will have to offer when it makes its way to digital storefronts this February.
