The Upgraded PlayStation 4 Has Been Confirmed – E3 2016

In an interview published Friday in the Financial Times of London, Sony CEO, Andrew House confirmed that the company is indeed planning on releasing an upgraded version of the PlayStation 4.

House referred to the device, believed to be code-named “PlayStation 4 Neo, as a “high end” version of the current PlayStation 4, and that both units are meant to coexist simultaneously in the market.

“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4 – We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.”

House also told the outlet that they will not be showcasing the new PlayStation 4 “Neo” at E3 2016, which is set to open next week.

House’s comments fall in line with rumors about the development of an upgraded PlayStation 4 that began circulating in March.

We will have more on this as it breaks.

Now that the rumors surrounding an upgraded PlayStation 4 are true, are you excited? Let us know in the comments section below.
