Pretty much any computer can run this since the requirements are so low.
Download:
- Original version
- VisualBoyAdvance 1.7.2 or 1.8 beta 3
- Unzip
- VBA-M (updated mod version)
- http://sourceforge.net/projects/vbam/
- Decompress the .7z file with 7Zip or WinRar
Running
Runs .gba/.gbc/.gb/.sgb/.sgb2 and can open .zip
- Open the .exe file
- File – Open
- Select the game in the browser and open it
- If you played a game recently you can access it quickly in File – Recent
Saving
You can use the in-game saves or Save States which have 10 slots
Save State – Shift+F1 through F10
Load State –F1 through F10
or through the File menu
Screen Capture
Hit F12 or hitting file will pause or Control + P will pause the game and allow you to go to File – Screen capture and you show where to save it.
Hacked version can be played too!
Setup options (Just the basics)
Frame skip
Frame skip and throttle control emulation speed. 0 frames and 100 percent throttle is default. To up throttle you may need to increase the frame skip.
Video
ignore most of it except the screen size 1x 2x which is the screen size or double the size. I normally do 2x. Fullscreen is an option too.
Sound
On/off
Joypad
Configure – 1 to set the controls
Cheats
Cheats – Cheat List
Enter Code, Cheat, Gameshark Code, or Codebreaker Code
